WORKSHOPS

November '96 Photography Workshop: Words and Images, one day workshop for kids ages 5 to 15, at the Fall Childrens Gathering, a semiannual meeting of Native American tribes of the lower Colorado River, Ward Valley, CA. Published 10 page booklet. Show available.

November '95 Intro to Printing on Fabric: Lifts and Transfers. One day at the Black Gallery, Los Angeles, CA.

April '95 Photographing in the Desert: During the Day and at Night. Three Day Workshop/Tour of the Mohave National Scenic Area based in the Desert Studies Center at Zzyzxs, Bakersfield, CA.

COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHIC WORK

1990 - Present Freelance Photographer, fashion, portraits, architecture. Clients include Rockpool USA, Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, National Marketing Corp, YMCA, and others.

1994 Administrative Assistant, for Royal Athena Galleries, Beverly Hills, CA. Included cataloging and conservation of 19th century albumen prints

1987 - 1990 Studio Manager and First Assistant for Craig Buchanan Photography, architecture and interiors, San Francisco, CA. Includes sales, bookkeeping. Occasional shooting.

1985 - 1986 Dye Transfer Printer and Assistant for Henry Holmes Smith, San Raphael, CA. Producing his original color light abstractions.

1984 - 1985 Lab Manager, B&W Photo Lab (formerly Jay Daniel Assoc.,) Fairfax, CA .

1996 – 1997 Partner , Chuckwalla Tours - a desert tour company, LaVerne, CA. Providing catered camping and workshop instruction for guided tours of the southwest deserts.

Fall 1992 Peer Panel Member, Graduate Research and Development Grant , for Associated Student of Arizona State University (ASASU), awarding $30,000 in project funds.

Summer 1992 Construction for Deep Creek School, Telluride, CO.
Built a 1200 sq.ft. artists studio with 4 ft. deep concrete foundation.

VOLUNTEER WORK

2003 - Present PTA SmARTS Committee Member, Grant Writer, and Art Instructor . SmARTS is a volunteer run organization, funded by grants to provide over 300 hours of art instruction a year to Idyllwild School students.

1999 - Present Earth Fair Commitee, planning activities to raise environmental awareness. Based in Idyllwild, CA.

1996 -1998 RSAGB Volunteer in the herbarium, mounting dried plant specimens of arid regions of the world, and photographing events. Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Garden, Claremont,CA.

1996 Literacy Volunteer , to teach individuals to improve their reading and writing skills in one-on-one workshops, Pomona Library, Pomona, CA.
